Founded in July 2024,As China Monolithic Catalyst Welded Piece Suppliers and Wholesale Monolithic Catalyst Welded Piece Factory, Longyou Shuochun New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the coating and sales of three-way catalytic converters. It is deeply engaged in the field of new materials.
The company always keeps an eye on the industry frontier, actively learns from and draws on the advanced formulas and mature technologies of domestic and foreign counterparts. Through in-depth research and localization of mainstream formulas, it accurately adjusts the proportion of raw materials such as rare earths, precious metals and non-precious metals, so as to ensure that the coated carriers produced have stable catalytic activity and reliable performance.
The company's products cover a variety of specifications and models, and its products and technologies are applicable to automobiles, motorcycles, general-purpose engines, construction machinery, marine power, generator sets, agricultural machinery and other fields.
In the future, the company will continue to learn advanced industry experience, optimize production and services, and contribute to the realization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in China and around the world.
A three-way catalytic converter typically consists of a metallic housing, a substrate, and an inner mat.The metallic housing is generally fabricated from double-layer stainless steel sheets, such as SUS430 ferritic stainless steel. The substrate, which is the core component, is most commonly a monolithic honeycomb ceramic substrate primarily composed of cordierite, although some variants use metallic stainless-steel substrates. The inner mat is used to secure the substrate and keep it firmly positioned within the housing. The block-type welded assembly refers to the portion where the substrate is joined to the metallic housing through welding processes.
Welding Process:The commonly used welding method is vacuum brazing. The brazing filler metal is an Ag-Cu-Ti active alloy foil with a thickness of approximately 0.1 mm ± 0.02 mm. The vacuum level must reach above 5×10⁻³ Pa, with the brazing temperature set at 820°C ± 10°C and a holding time of 30 minutes.
For special structural components, laser welding may be applied, using an Nd:YAG pulsed laser. The power density is controlled at 3×10⁴ W/cm², with a pulse width of 4 ms, a defocus distance of +1.5 mm, and an argon shielding gas flow rate of 15 L/min.
Function and Significance:The quality of welded assemblies directly affects the performance and service life of the three-way catalytic converter. High-quality welding ensures the stability of the catalyst substrate within the housing, preventing substrate breakage caused by vibration and maintaining proper sealing to avoid exhaust leakage. This enables the catalytic converter to efficiently convert harmful exhaust components—such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides—into harmless carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogen.
Quality Inspection:Strict quality inspections are required after welding, including X-ray nondestructive testing to detect internal weld porosity, with requirements of pore diameter ≤ 0.3 mm and spacing ≥ 2 mm. Helium mass spectrometry is used for leak detection, with leakage rates required to be ≤ 1×10⁻⁷ Pa·m³/s. In addition, vibration aging treatment is performed to eliminate residual stress, and the residual stress elimination rate must reach 75% or above.
