This product is designed for vehicles equipped with a 3.8L engine and an exhaust system OE number of 42638, applicable to 2007-2009 model years. It is a three-way catalytic converter Y-pipe component used to merge the two exhaust branches from the engine into the rear exhaust system while catalytically converting the exhaust gas. The housing is made of stainless steel, with a honeycomb ceramic substrate inside coated with catalytic material, capable of converting carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides emitted by the engine into relatively harmless gas components, helping to reduce exhaust pollutant levels. The product is designed according to the original Y-pipe routing, diameter, and flange hole positions, allowing installation and connection corresponding to the original vehicle's exhaust system.
