This product is designed for vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine and an exhaust system OE number of 16299, applicable to 2003-2007 model years. It is an integrated assembly combining a three-way catalytic converter with a front flex pipe (flexible coupling), which absorbs displacement caused by engine operation and body vibration, reducing stress concentration in the exhaust system due to vibration. The catalytic converter section has a stainless steel housing enclosing a honeycomb ceramic substrate coated with catalytic material, converting carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides into relatively harmless gases to help reduce exhaust pollutant levels. The product is designed according to the original pipe routing and flange position, allowing installation at the original mounting points.
